Yes, from Appearance -> Widgets in your blog's Dashboard, edit the desired widget and click the Visibility button.
First, you'll need to publish a page titled Blog. The page can empty, only the title is important.
Then, from Settings -> Reading in your blog's Dashboard, choose Blog as the Posts Page.
Sure - your code has been tweaked so that post titles no longer change to green when you hover over them. This is the final CSS:

After a little experimenting it turns out that it seems to only be having the issues with mp3 files.

I am using Windows 7 and IE 10. Could that be the issue?
The images in the image widgets are not displaying. Just the white question mark in blue square. I have loaded them successfully before, so know how to get the image URL and paste it into the appropriate space, but it's just not working and I can't work out why this should be. I've tried using the full URL for the image and the short link but nothing works.
The only Image widget that you have set at http://townmouseinthecountry.wordpress.com/ is completely empty.
Would you lease set it as desired so I can see the problem?

Thanks so much, that would have been the problem in the support ticket earlier that I referenced.
The default wordpress themes must all include a percentage max-width for content images, I was busy looking in the VideoPress code/css for the answer.
I'm sure this will help many people in future.

What you have provided as the Image URLs are not image file URLs.
For example, focussing specifically on "FOOD GLORIOUS FOOD" you provided http://oswaldsoutlook.com/2013/02/21/wi-in-the-spotlight/itv-group/#main
This is a page with an image on it, but it's not an image URL.
The image URL is http://oswaldsoutlook.files.wordpress.com/2013/02/itv-group.jpg
To get that, click on that page where it states the image dimensions, "5060 × 3373" in this case.
The same issue is true for the other broken Image widgets.
I have manually added a zone record for your domain.
You should now be able to map it here following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
