WordPress.com upgrades are only useful for WordPress.cm blogs. In fact, you can easily alter any theme file on a self-hosted WordPress.org installation, including the CSS (style.css).
You can do this from Appearance -> Editor in your blog's Dashboard, or install Jetpack and activate the Custom CSS module for a more familiar experience: http://jetpack.me/
Your Custom CSS changes can't be transferred, but if you use the Custom CSS module from Jetpack, you can simply copy and past the CSS rules from blog to blog.

A couple, actually.
1 - I now have a page set as a blog, thanks to you, but the share icons don't show up on it for some reason. They show up on my other pages.
2 - I am having some weird spacing issues on a couple pages: About > Christine Keleny and Events > Christine Keleny.
When I look at the page, the page looks fine. I even tried highlighting and aligning the text to the left, hitting update, but still it's off.

1. "When Editors and Authors Fail" is a reblog, and we do not show sharing buttons on reblogs, so readers are encouraged to share the original.
2. The spacing seems to be fine at http://ckbookspublishing.com/about-2/about/ but http://ckbookspublishing.com/the-latest/christine-m-keleny/ is a bit messed up. If you switch to the Text editor tab instead of the Visual editor tab, you'll be able to see and correct the spacing issues there.

opened a blog and managed to get my domain (www.whatisafreeschool.org.uk) across from where I bought it to word press (I was REALLY proud of myself)!!!
For about 4 hours this evening it worked beautifully and i wrote my first 3 posts.
suddenly when i view stuff it's pointing me back to my domain seller NOT my blog, despite the fact that according to your records i'm correctly pointing at NS1, etc.
I have refreshed -age and done the cache/cookies clearance.
i'm a big stuck - any suggestions please team?
