Wow, thanks a lot for your help! I have been in contact with hosteurope in the meantime and apparently they don't allow changes in the nameserver. Apparently, the only way would be through setting a CNAME, but I am not sure how to do this. Do I have to do this through hosteurope?
I would be very grateful if you could edit my dns settings, I'm sure I made some horrible mistakes there.

I'm trying to map a .co.uk domain to my blog. I've updated the nameservers to ns1.wordpress.com and ns2.wordpress.com about 55 hours ago, but My Upgrades is still saying the nameservers need to be updated.
Do I also need to update the A record to point at my WordPress IP?

Are you in the process of transferring both domains? if so, then it's probably not possible to change the nameserver records. It might take a couple of days before the domain transfer has been completed.
Note that this guide explains how to transfer the domain name to another registrar.

Looks like your domain is not pointing to WordPress.com name servers yet. Please go to your domain registrar's site and log into the control panel. You will need to update the name servers as below:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

No, my question is that CCT and EUL had upgrades such as domain name (without .wordpress) as well as additional space. These 2 sites have been moved. I thought I could transfer these upgrades that I paid for and have time remaining on, to other sites that I currently possess through WordPress.com such as princesskateandprinceholden.com and a new one tenpointreview (as well as a couple of upcoming new ones) that was set up but does not have any upgrades yet.
If this is not possible then what is the transfer? It seems that what I want to do is what this feature implies.

Thankyou for getting back to me so soon! I love it! That is an initial draft of the post, that was called Lets Talk Love but which I changed the name of to Our Style of LOVE and added pictures too etc then sent 'Live'
I did see that when I was looking for the 'missing post' knowing that it wasn't the before 2 days ago so whether 'the system' has lost the most recent version, ie the actual post and just kept a previous saved version I don't know... Does this happen often?? That post is key to my blog as its the one that explains the concept of Our Style of LOVE

Hi, I am in the process of transferring one of them (the other can't be transferred for about 50 more days or so because it's newly registered). Maybe I should wait 48 hours or so to see if that process needs to complete before I can proceed? Sounds like that might be why it's classified as not active.

I have read through that post, but I'm wondering if I need to remove the A record that points to my old hosting provider's IP altogether, or do I need to change that A record to point to the IP of my WordPress site (which presumably I can get from pinging it from the cmd window)??

Thank you for the response. Yes, one of my subscribers confirmed that he received an email confirmation and clicked on the link, and he did this 3 times. Another subscriber shared that the site would not push her through to the subscription, even after hitting the subscribe button.

On my mac it looks perfect but whenever I use a windows computer with internet explorer or different browser the 'latest posts' widget on the right side is overlapping the featured image thumbnail onto the post text.
Can you tell me what I am doing wrong?

Hi there,
Our Domain Mapping services will only work if the domain name's nameservers have been pointed towards our servers. Setting a CNAME will not work correctly for your root domain.
If you'd like, you can set up a subdomain for your site, such as blog.jochenhung.de and set up a CNAME for that which points to weimarstudies.wordpress.com (you would need to create this CNAME within your hosteurope control panel).
If you'd like to use a subdomain rather than the root domain, let me know and I will set it up for you on this end!

Hi, thanks for your suggestions. I don't want my two wordpress sites to be connected, could the subdomain also point to jochenhung.wordpress.com? Or even better: could I create a CNAME for jochenhung.wordpress.com within my hosteurope control panel, so that all traffic for jochenhung.de goes to jochenhung.wordpress.com? Sorry for all these questions, I'm not really familiar with all of this..
If that all doesn't work, do you know if it is possible to just close my account with a provider such as hosteurope and take my domainname to wordpress?
