paintedwoodencubes on "Is something wrong with the record of my syndicated views?"

Since 13th March, my most recent posts have started to receive implausibly high numbers of syndicated views. For instance, I published a post on February 16th (paintedwoodencubes.com/2013/02/16/winning-formula-a-review-of-crazy-lab/). Initially, things were typical: it received a single syndicated view the day it was published, eight the day after, 12 on the next day, then the odd one or two on later days.

However, that post is recorded as having received 46 syndicated views on March 13th (nearly a month after its publication), and even larger numbers of syndicated views in the days following (234 on March 20th, 249 on April 2nd, etc). By contrast, the post has only attracted a couple of on-site views per week in the past month or so.

Very, very similar is true of my other recent posts: since March 13th, all of my posts since the end of December (and only those since the end of December), are recorded as having received the same sort of syndicated viewing figures. For instance, my New Year hit parade post (paintedwoodencubes.com/2013/01/02/new-year-hit-parade/) had, like the example above 234 views on March 20th, and 249 on April 2nd.

I wondered if there could be technical problem with the recording of my syndicated views. The other explanation which occurred to me is that a new follower could be using unusual RSS software which might produce this kind of effect. Are you able to help in explaining this? Is there a technical issue at the level of my site, or not? And is their anything I can do? I'd like my syndicated views to be useful in understanding the use of my site: as it stands, they are not.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.
