glaserdesigns on "Add Facebook like/follow button to main sidebar instead of Facebook like box?"

I'm trying to add a Facebook "follow" or "like" button to the main sidebar in a Tarski theme.

For html 5, it requires javascript sdk in the body and a div on the page.
For XFBML the java and something similar to the div plus xml in the html section.
Various information regarding wordpress points to single.php file, but I can't find it.
Is it possible to add this button to the main sidebar instead of the Facebook like box in the Tarski theme?
If not, is there another theme similar to the Tarski theme that would allow this?
