Thanks for trying to help. I wish I could explain it better. I own the domain austinyoga.net and it is hosted at godaddy. I want a blog as part of my site and so I thought I had figured out that I needed a subdomain, which I thought I created, named blog.austinyoga.net.
but when I go to my site through the "backdoor" I can't for the life of me figure out how to make my subdomain appear. i followed all of the instructions I could on wordpress and all of the instructions I could on godaddy but something isn't adding up.
I don't want anything to do with "http://austinyogadotnet1.wordpress.com/" and I am not sure how I ended up creating it. Like I said above, I think somehow "mapped my domain" backwards and I am very confused.
sometimes I get to the dashboard for austinyoga.net which doesn't show anything at all about blog.austinyoga.net and sometimes I get to a place that lets me choose austinyoga.net which is now actually "http://austinyogadotnet1.wordpress.com/" or blog.austinyoga.net.
I've done all kinds of things with setting nameservers and adding an A host and/or a cname and none of this makes sense to me.
Does that give you any more info to see what the problem might be?
thanks again,
Kimberly
